Day Thirteen: Wednesday

Day Thirteen ~ Wednesday, May 8

A short journal tonight because I’m LoD tomorrow and so need to get up much earlier than everyone else.
Today was mainly just a travel day. We had a huge breakfast: cereal, fruit, muffins, more orange juice than should ever be allowed to be consumed, pancakes, apple juice, milk. We really had to push ourselves to eat as much as we possibly could.
After breakfast, our traveling began. We met outside at 10:30 a.m. to head over to the station for an 11:05 train. Then we took 3 trains in quick succession: 15 minutes, 25 and then 45.
Then we got to a stop. We were supposed to go up to Chempex by bus, but the bust that was supposed to leave within 3 minutes of us arriving at the stop wasn’t running today, so we had to wait until 4:30 p.m. for the next one. It was about 1 p.m. at this point…
So we set up for lunch, and chilled out. A couple of us toured the town, other’s played hackey sack. I sat with a couple others and had a decent conversation.
Sorry, that was after our 2:30 meeting where we talked about how to pack a backpack properly. Accessible, Balanced, Compact. ABCs. Then we walked around.
Finally the bus came, along with a whole bunch of French school kids. Some of them were sassy. Others sounded like Ewoks from Star Wars. Christina and I then proceeded to have a giggle fit. 
Then we made it to Champex and checked into our place for the night. I got my bag ready for our 3 day excursion starting tomorrow, and then had dinner and evening program.
